I mentioned this in passing once before.  Parenthood in two words is this:  Life interrupted.  You live with the constant feeling that whatever task you're into at the moment could be violdently halted because a child pooped.

We spent Sunday at home, but it was a busier day than if I had been at work.  One big interruption!

Maybe you can relate to the highlights of the day:

Sleep - interrupted by Kallan's rustles and grunts at 5am.  Time to eat.

Started working on taxes at 6am - interrupted at 7:30 by Finley waking up.  Time for breakfast.  (Angela deserved to sleep in.)

Shower - abbreviated cuz Kallan needed to eat again.  No time to shave legs.

Record a radio show in the home studio - Angela and Finley returned from an errand.  Dogs making too much noise to record.

Skype with the Nebraska fam - pretty smooth!  But we did stop cuz it was time to make tacos.

Lunch - interrupted by Kallan's need to eat again

Sneak in more work on taxes - suddenly time to brush Finley's teeth and put her down for a nap

Sneak in some treadmill time -  Kallan cried after 30 minutes and needed to eat.  Hopped back on for 10 more minutes after feeding her.

Check on digital sales of Coming out Christian - Kallan fussed and I had to log out of my amazon.com account

Create a shipping label for an amazon.com book order - I hear "Jen!" coming from downstairs.  Angela is now tending to Kallan and needs me to put the noisy dogs up.  They keep waking her up.

Ask Finley if she wants to cook - "Oh yeah!" she says so we make muffins.  As soon as they're in the oven she wants a bath.  The bottom of the muffins turn black and set off the smoke alarm.

Crawl into bed and drift off to the Grammys.  Kallan just can't get enough to eat.  Cluster feed!

That's the last thing I remember.
